Who this is for: System administrators. Requires 'Group Setup' permission.
Overview:
This guide explains how to delete an unused group type (e.g., Teams, Locations) from your system. A group type can only be deleted if there are no users assigned to groups within this type before deletion.
How Deleting Group Types Works:
Group types organise users for bulk actions or reporting. Deleting a group type removes it permanently.
How to Delete a Group Type:
- Remove all users from groups within the type (use Bulk User Update tool if needed).
- Navigate to Admin Tools > Admin Panel > System > Group Types.
- Click Delete next to the group type.
- If Delete option is not visible, users are still assigned.
- On the pop-up, click Delete to confirm.
