User Templates - Deleting a Template

Who this guide is for: System administrators – Requires ‘System Admin’ role and User Templates permission

Overview:

How Template Deletion Works:
User Templates group settings (e.g. entitlements, view filters) that apply to multiple users. A template can only be deleted when no users are assigned to it, ensuring no orphaned assignments.

How to Set Up Template Deletion:

  1. Go to Admin tools > Admin panel > Template > User Templates.
  2. Locate the template you wish to remove and click the Delete button on its row.
  3. Click OK to confirm deletion.

Additional Information:

  • User Template: A group configuration layer that passes settings to assigned users.
  • Requires ‘System Admin’ role and User Templates permission.
  • Warning: You cannot delete a template with assigned users—reassign or unassign users first.
