Disabling an entitlement on a template level

Who this guide is for: System administrators. Requires 'User Templates' permission.

Overview:

This guide explains how to enable or disable an entitlement element at the Template level, overriding the Global setting.

How Enabling or Disabling Entitlements Works:

If an entitlement is enabled globally but needs to be disabled for specific user groups, you can override it at the Template level. The same also applies vice versa, as you can use the same guide to enable an entitlement pot that has been disabled on a global level. This ensures only selected templates (user groups) have access to that entitlement.

How to Disable an Entitlement at Template Level:

  1. Go to Admin tools > Admin panel > Templates.
  2. Find the template and click Edit.
  3. Select the Entitlements tab.
  4. Toggle the field under State to either Enabled or Disabled instead for the entitlement you want to deactivate.

Additional Information:

  • Key terms:

    • Entitlement element: A specific leave or absence type (e.g., "Annual Leave").

  • Prerequisites: 'User Templates' permission required.

  • Tip: Use the search function to quickly locate templates.

  • Reminder: Template settings override Global settings.
