Overview:
Control how absence bookings can be cancelled for different absence types, and whether they can be cancelled by a user or their authoriser
How Cancellation Settings Work:
- Determines whether users can cancel their own absences or whether authoriser can do it on their behalf
- Controls if cancellation requires approval
- Can be configured differently per absence type (e.g., stricter rules for holidays than sick leave or visa versa)
How to Set Up:
- Navigate to Admin Tools > Admin Panel
- Select Global > Absence Types
- Locate the absence type (use search if needed)
- Click Edit for the relevant absence type
- Go to Cancellation Settings and configure:
- Allow cancellation by users
- Use authorisation for cancellation (requires approval)
- Allow cancellation by authorisers (managers/HR can cancel)
- Click Save (top right)
