This guide explains how to prevent a user from booking a specific absence type (e.g., Sickness, Compassionate Leave) by adjusting their permissions.
How Disabling Absence Types Works
If a user should not be able to request or approve certain absence types (e.g., due to policy restrictions), you can disable their booking permissions for that absence type in their profile.
How to Set Up Disabled Absence Types
- Go to Admin Tools > Users.
- Locate the user (use the search bar or browse the list).
- Click Edit next to their name.
- Select the Absence Types tab.
- Find the absence type to disable (use the search bar if needed).
- Click Edit next to the absence type.
- Under Booking Settings, set the following to No:
- Can book own absences
- Can book reportees absences
- Can book others absences
- Click the Save user button.
