Who this is for: System administrators. Requires 'User Templates' permission.
Overview:
This guide explains how to configure absence type permissions for user templates, controlling visibility of absence records for groups of users.
How Absence Type Permissions Work:
Template-level permissions determine what absence records users in a template can view (their own, their reportees', or others'). These settings override Global but are overridden by User-level permissions.
How to Set Up Absence Type Permissions at Template Level:
- Go to Admin Tools > Admin Panel.
- Select Templates in the left panel.
- Find the template (use search if needed) and click Edit.
- Navigate to the Absence Types tab.
- Locate the absence type (use search filter if required) and click Edit.
- Under Permissions, adjust settings for:
- My items: User’s own absences.
- Reportees: Absences of their direct reports.
- Others: Absences of other users.
- Click Save Template at the top right.
Additional Information:
- Key terms:
- My items: User’s own absence records.
- Reportees: Absences of employees the user approves.
- Others: Absences of unrelated users.
