Overview
This guide explains how to set minimum and maximum length restrictions for absence bookings at the Template level. These settings control how much time users can book in a single absence request.
How Minimum/Maximum Length Restrictions Work
These restrictions ensure compliance with company policies by limiting absence bookings to predefined durations (e.g., no single holiday request exceeding 14 days). Settings applied at the Template level override Global defaults for specific user groups.
How to Set Up Minimum/Maximum Length Restrictions
- Navigate to Admin Tools > Admin Panel.
- Go to Templates > User Templates.
- Locate the User Template to update and click the blue Edit button.
- Select the Absence Types tab.
- Find the Absence Type to update (use the search filter if needed).
- Click the blue Edit button for the Absence Type.
- Scroll to the Min/Max Settings section.
- Configure:
- Minimum length (in days): Enter the shortest allowed absence (e.g., "1" for full-day bookings).
- Maximum length (in days): Enter the longest allowed absence (e.g., "10" to cap holiday requests).
- Click the blue Save template button at the top of the page.
