Overview: This guide explains how to enable an absence type at the template level when it is disabled globally, allowing tailored permissions for specific user groups.
How Template-Level Overrides Work: When an absence type is disabled globally, template-level settings can override this to enable it for selected user groups (e.g., enabling "Remote Work" for a "Field Staff" template).
How to Enable an Absence Type at Template Level:
- Access Templates: Go to Admin Tools > Admin Panel > Template > User Templates.
- Find Template: Search for or browse to the target template; click Edit.
- Open Absence Types: Navigate to the Absence Types tab.
- Locate Absence Type: Search for or browse to the absence type; click Edit.
- Adjust Permissions:
- Under Permissions, set these to "Yes":
- Can book own absences
- Can book reportees absences
- Can book others absences
- Under Permissions, set these to "Yes":
- Save Template: Click Save Template (Top right side of the page)
