Disabling an absence type on a template

For: System Administrators

Overview
This guide explains how to configure who can book absences of a specific type (e.g., "Business Trip") for users assigned to a template.

How Booking Permissions Work

Booking permissions determine whether users can request absences for themselves, their direct reports, or other colleagues. These settings are configured per absence type (e.g., "Business Trip") within a template and override Global settings.

How to Set Up Booking Permissions

  1. Navigate: Go to Templates → Select your template.
  2. Edit Template: Click Edit (top-right).
  3. Open Absence Types: Select the Absence Types tab.
  4. Find Absence Type: Search or browse for the absence type (e.g., "Business Trip").
  5. Edit Settings: Click Edit next to the absence type.
  6. Adjust Permissions:
    • Can book own absences: Set to Yes/No/Inherited.
    • Can book reportees’ absences: Set to Yes/No/Inherited.
    • Can book others’ absences: Set to Yes/No/Inherited.
  7. Save: Click Save Template (top of page).
