Enabling an entitlement pot on a user level

Who this guide is for: System administrators – Requires 'System Admin' role

Overview:
This guide explains how to enable an entitlement pot at the User level—useful when a pot has been disabled globally or via a template but is still needed for specific users.

How Entitlement Pots Work:
Entitlement pots (e.g., Annual Leave, TOIL, Buy/Sell) are used to group and track leave balances. These can be disabled at the Global or Template level, but re-enabled for individual users when required—ideal for exceptions.

How to Enable an Entitlement Pot at User Level:

  1. Go to Admin tools > Users.
  2. Search for the user needing the entitlement enabled.
  3. Click Edit next to their name.
  4. Select the Entitlement tab.
  5. Click the Advanced button (top right of the entitlement section).
  6. Find the relevant entitlement pot and click Enable.
  7. Click Save User at the top of the page.

Additional Information:

  • Entitlement Pot: A category of leave (e.g., Annual Leave, TOIL) with its own rules and balance.
  • Requires 'System Admin' role to edit user-level entitlements.
  • Use when an entitlement pot is not available via Global or Template settings.
  • Tip: Always review the user’s entitlements after enabling a pot to confirm correct balance and policy.
  • Use the search function within the platform to quickly find features or settings.
